Landscaping work

There is still work to be done at our new church. We are now concentrating on landscaping. Every Tuesday evening at 6:30 beginning on April 28, we have met to spread mulch and rake and level in preparation for seeding grass. It has been cold and windy but we have accomplished a lot. A special thank you to all the volunteers including LCBI students on Take Out Tuesday!

Our best turn out was Tuesday, the 19th. We needed many volunteers to rake and level for seeding grass. It was too windy to plant grass so we hope for better weather this Tuesday (May 26th) as we would like to get some grass seeded as soon as possible.

Volunteers Lorne, Margo, John, Jorgen, Len, Janet, Pr. Roger, Pr. Daryl, Elaine, Darlene, Bryan.

Darlene made coffee for all of us.

Pr. Roger shows off the first nations hammerhead he found!

We have a big area to rake!

We have also planted three evergreens. We ordered more so will soon have a "Tree Planting Day!"

We worked mainly on the area by the paved patio. Our mulch pile is getting smaller!

Despite the large area raked, it is only a small part of what needs to be done. If you are looking for something to do, come out and help us this Tuesday evening!
